UAB Indastrus was founded and registered on 12 October 2001 in Panevezys City Municipality (code 148428467, registration No AB 01-92). Since the date of registration, the company has been a legal entity having commercial, economic and legal self-sustainability.

The company is run by Director General Kestutis Kisonas. In 2003 he was selected as Best Start-Up Entrepreneur by the Panevezys Small and Medium Business Support Fund and was placed 1st in the overall competition.

In 2005, UAB Indastrus was recognised as the Best Service Company in Aukstaitija region in a competition organised by Panevezys Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts.
 

On 6 June 2002, the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania awarded a permit to the company allowing it to carry out reconstruction, repairs and decoration of residential, public and manufacturing buildings; installation of interior network systems (communications, fire alarm system), transmission of electricity, distribution and sub-station facilities (voltage up to 10 kV) and alternating current electric facilities (voltage up to 1000 V) in areas with explosion and fire hazards; landscaping (excluding the building of streets and roads) works in new buildings of special significance.

On 11 September 2003, the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania supplemented the permit with the right to carry out the design works of part of a structure in the special structure category as follows: electric engineering (electricity transmission, distribution and sub-station facilities of 6-10 kV voltage; electric facilities of alternating current above 42 V in areas with explosion and fire hazard) as well as remote communications (telecommunications).

On 24 July 2009, the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania extended the validity of the permit, allowing the company to carry out design and construction works of part of a structure in a special structure category as follows:
Design: electric engineering (voltage up to 10 kV), electronic communications (telecommunications), security and fire alarm systems.
Construction: earthworks; building of construction structures (concrete); electric engineering works (voltage up to 110 kV), remote communications (telecommunications), security and fire alarm systems, automation.
 

On 24 January 2003, the company was issued a permit from the State Energy Inspectorate under the Ministry of Economy entitling it to engage in the operation of energy facilities in the electricity sector:

• Operation of cable lines, distribution and substation facilities of electricity transmission up to 10 kV
• Operation of electricity recipients up to 250 kW (power and lighting facilities up to 1000 V)
• Operation of special electric facilities up to 1000 V and 250 kW
• Operation of relay protection and the automatics of electric facilities up to 10 kV

On 27 January 2004, this permit was replaced by a certificate from the State Energy Inspectorate under the Ministry of Economy granting the right to:

•  Operate electric motors and generators from 30 kW to 1 MW, except repairs
• Operate electricity network and equipment up to 10 kV
• Repair the building part of electricity networks of up to 10 kV
• Operate special power facilities
• Operate electric installations up to 1000 V.

On 9 August 2010, the permit from the State Energy Inspectorate under the Ministry of Economy entitling the company to engage in the operation of electric facilities was extended, encompassing:

• Operation of electric engines and generators from 30 kW to 1 MW
• Repairs of the building part of electricity networks of up to 400 kV
• Repairs of electricity networks of up to 110 kV (except the repairs of power transformers)
• Technological control and maintenance of electricity networks of up to 110 kV
• Operation of relay protection, automatics and control systems of electricity networks up to 110 kV
• Operation of electricity networks and facilities up to 10 kV (except the repairs of power transformers)
• Operation of electric networks and facilities up to 1000 V
• Operation of special electric facilities
• Operation of electric installations of up to 1000 V
